Secure Link

Arvancloud allows you to restrict access to your channels and videos on the Video Platform service. This feature is implemented with the name "Secure Link".

After activating the secure link on the content, only users who access the video with their specially issued encrypted link can see the video or hear the audio. These can be limited based on the specific IP address and duration of access.

In this guide, we will discuss how to activate the safe link on videos.

Arvancloud's secure link can be applied to a video channel. By activating the secure link on a channel, this feature will be applied to all the videos or audios in that channel, and it will be impossible to access these videos normally.

To activate the secure link in Arvancloud's user panel, enter the Video Platform section, go to the Channels section under Media and select the New Channel option.

Then, on the add channel page, enter the title and description of the channel. Turn on Secure Link and create a key for Secure Link. This key is used as a parameter to construct a valid address to access the secured content.

As it was said, after activating the secure link function, normal access to all the content in the channel is impossible. To access this content, you need to create a valid secure link address for that content.

First, go to the Video Platform section of Arvancloud's API Documentation. As shown in the figure below, you can create a valid link for videos that have Secure Link enabled on their channel.

Enter the user's IP and its access expiration timestamp in Unix Timestamp format in the API request and get the valid access information for that video.

Please note that if there is a discrepancy in any of the fields of the user's IP address or the access expiration period, it will not be possible to access the content.
