Snapshot
A snapshot is an instant capture of a disk (Persistent Volume) that allows you to restore it later when needed. This feature is valuable for safeguarding against potential data loss or issues that may arise from significant changes to your disk.
Create a Snapshot
To create a snapshot of a disk, navigate to the Storage page in Arvancloud Container user panel and click on the "New Snapshot" button.
Next, select the disk for which you want to create a snapshot and specify a name for it. You can also add a note to the snapshot for future management.
To prevent the risk of losing new data during this process, it's recommended to enable "Safe Snapshot" option to automatically stop and restart the application.
Snapshots can be viewed and managed on the Storage page.
Restore a Snapshot
To restore data from a snapshot, navigate to the disk management section, and click on "Restore" next to the snapshot name.
Note that the snapshot will be restored onto a new disk, which can then be connected to your desired application.
Choose a custom name for the new disk and click on "Restore".
For connecting the restored disk to an application, refer to the Storage guide.
Delete a Snapshot
To delete a snapshot, use the "Delete" option next to its name.
Note that confirming this operation will permanently delete the snapshot and its data will be inaccessible thereafter.
