Getting Started

The Arvancloud Cloud Server service provides instant access to the infrastructures such as server, switches, routers, and firewalls. A cloud server is a type of server that the user can use and operate without the need to supply and maintain equipment. You can create your cloud server instantly with the resources you need, including the CPU, RAM, Storage, and IP. Here, we will help you get started with this service. You must register on the Arvancloud website to access the cloud servers service. The step-by-step instructions are provided in the guide below.

Create Instance

To create one, go to the Cloud Computing section of your user panel dashboard or click on Cloud Server from the left menu. Then click on New Instance.

1st Step: Select Data Center

There are different options to choose from for your data center. Please note that you must select the data center that is available.

Click on Continue.

2nd Step: Select OS

Here, you can choose an image for your instance. You can use a standard OS image created by Arvancloud, an uploaded custom OS by a user, a pre-made snapshot or image, or an image in the marketplace.

Click on Continue.

3rd Step: Select Instance Size

You must determine the required resources for your instance. You can use the default size for storage and CPU or can custom select your preferred size by clicking on Preference. You can see the price for each resource for both default and custom sizes.

Click on Continue.

4th Step: Select Instance Disk

In this step, you need to choose instance disk size and type. The default value is the same as the disk size of your chosen instance flavor in the previous step. If this size and type is what you need click on Continue.

5th Step: Advanced Settings

Here, you can manage the advanced configurations for your instance or leave the settings to remain as the default. These settings include:

Access Type

If you create your instance with a version of the Linux distribution, you can determine its access type. You can access your instance through an SSH key or one-time password. Choosing the one-time password mode, a password will be sent to your email address to log in to instance, and you use the password to SSH into it. The SSH key is the more secure option. You can create an SSH key to access your server and manage it in the Keys section of your user panel. Network

You can choose your IP version as IPv4 or IPv6. Currently, IPv6 is not available. Also, if you have already created your private network, you can connect your instance to it.

Firewall

Here, you can manage your firewall settings. Your instance has default settings activated when you create it. You can activate the firewall settings you have configured before creating your instance. You can access the firewall settings for your instance from the Firewall section of your user panel.

More Options

You can configure your initial script and PowerOn Policy in this section. By using initial script, You can add a User Data script to execute it automatically and only once while creating an instance. Ths feature helps you customize your server during build process.

By activating PowerOn Policy, your instance will automatically turn on if the cloud server was shut down due to unexpected issues, such as a physical failure.

Once you are done with your advanced settings, click on Continue.

6th Step: Final Review

In the final step, you need to determine the number of instances you need and choose a name for each one. You can also see the total price for the instance you are creating.

Finally, after applying your settings, click on Create New Instance. A new window will show the username and password to connect to your instance. This information will also be emailed to you. Please note that you will not be able to access this information from your user panel again.

After creating an instance, you can access your cloud server from the Instance List in your user panel. It is also recommended to set IAM policies on your resources.
